Ilm wa Noor is developed by ZohrahAppStudio. We believe in providing safe, clean, and distraction-free Islamic educational tools. We do not require an account or registration to use the app, and we do not maintain any online user profile database.

To provide a seamless experience, the following data is saved only locally on your device using standard on-device storage. It is never uploaded to ZohrahAppStudio servers:

• App preferences (theme, prayer calculation method, madhab, and notification preferences)
• Learning progress, stars earned, and quiz milestone completion
• Bookmarks, reciter preferences, and last-read positions
• City name or approximate coordinates chosen for prayer calculation
• Cached audio files for offline listening

Note: Uninstalling the application or clearing app storage will erase this locally saved information.

Certain feature updates require lightweight internet requests. We never sell, profile, or monetize personal data.

Prayer Times Calculation:

If you enter a city, or choose approximate location setup, your city name or approximate coordinates are sent to the open public AlAdhan API (api.aladhan.com) to fetch accurate local prayer times and Qibla direction. This data is strictly non-identifying and used solely for prayer times. You can also use default fixed times without granting location access.

Lesson Audio Downloads:

Certain educational audio lessons are streamed or cached directly from zohrahappstudio.in to your device for offline playback.

The App does not automatically request location permissions when launched.

• Preferred method: Type your city and country manually (no device permission needed).
• Optional method: Approximate / coarse location, requested only if you explicitly choose auto-detect inside the Prayer screen.

We never use precise GPS, background location tracking, or location for advertising.

Prayer reminders and Adhan alarms are generated and triggered strictly on your local device. We do not operate remote push-notification servers, nor do we send promotional or marketing push notifications.

Ilm wa Noor is designed for children, students, and families. We strictly comply with Google Play’s Families Policy and COPPA standards:

• No collection of personal identifiable information (PII) from children.
• No behavioral ads, targeted ads, or third-party ad networks.
• No social features, chatrooms, or public forums.
